When 7 to 8pm hits, we’re all so exhausted, the thought of having to go out again just sounds too taxing, and you start to looking for food delivery instead. You have to understand that in my line of work, while everyone else is on their way home, 8pm to us could just be the height the action. So Sometimes we don’t even eat until midnight. It’s easy for me to just dial McDonald’s or something, but a lot of my office mates need a decent rice meal to get them through the night.. That won’t cost them an arm and a leg.

What is Kitchen Knight? Its the night time food delivery service that operates from 6pm until 3am and services the Fort and Makati areas. The knight wants to save the people working late as well as the BPO employees from the dragon that is lousy convenience store food and other lackluster food options.

A week or two ago, I was asked to choose 2 dishes among their offerings to sample. Being in Ortigas, delivery took a little over 30 minutes to arrive, which should definitely be cut way down if its in their coverage area. The packaging was quite nice, although I hope they could find a more eco friendly alternative to styrofoam. No spills inside the bag, and with a pair of disposable fork and spoons provided.

Isa ako sa mga libu-libong tao dito sa Pinas na nagtatrabaho sa kalaliman ng gabi. Tama. Sa isang call center ako nagtatrabaho. At dahil pang-gabi, kailangan ng katawan ang mga masustansiyang pagkain. Yung totoong pagkain. Karamihan kasi ng mga nasa ganitong industriya ay puro galing sa fast food chains ang laman ng tiyan. Sa totoo lang, nakakasawa. Puro cholesterol at preservatives na ang nasisipsip ng katawan. Madalas tuloy nagbabaon na din ako.

Pero meron naman palang mabibilhan ng pagkain na lutong bahay. Lalo na kung isa ka sa mga nagtatrabaho sa Taguig at Makati, pabor na pabor sa yo ang delivery service ng KITCHEN KNIGHT!
